Delete my account
You may delete your Karyo account and your personal data at any time, directly from the app. This page explains, step by step, how to proceed and what happens next.
Steps from the app
- Open the Karyo app and sign in to your account.
- Go to My account (or Settings).
- Open the Security section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm your identity by entering the phone number or e-mail address associated with your account.
- If you wish, you may give a reason for leaving (optional).
- Confirm the deletion request.
What happens next
- Your request opens a 30-day grace period.
- As soon as you request it, your listings are paused (they are no longer visible to other Users) and you are signed out of all your sessions.
- During these 30 days, you can cancel the deletion: sign back in to your account and tap "Cancel deletion". Your listings are then restored as drafts, ready to be republished.
- At the end of the 30 days, your account and your personal data are permanently deleted: profile, favourites, searches and alerts. Your unpublished listings are also deleted; listings that have already been published may be kept in anonymised form, with no link to your identity, for the purposes of marketplace history.
Data retained
Some data may be retained beyond the deletion of the account where the law requires it, or for legitimate reasons of evidence, security or fraud prevention, for the period strictly necessary and provided for by regulations. This data is no longer used for any other purpose. To learn more, see our "Privacy Policy".
No longer able to access the app?
If you can no longer access your account, write to us from the e-mail address associated with your account at [email protected], specifying your deletion request. We will process your request after verifying your identity.
